Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises to charge $35 for paper cruise tickets

Industry giant Royal Caribbean announced about it's switching to e-tickets as the default option at its three North American brands -- Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises.
Celebrity CruisesThe company says that, effective for bookings made on or after Dec. 13, passengers on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity ships who still want a paper ticket will have to pay a $35 fee. The fee will be waived for Azamara bookings.

Until now, Royal Caribbean has offered customers the option of using e-tickets but has not penalized those who have chosen to stick with paper tickets.
