‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ ends this week

Jon and Kate Plus 8 - Kate Gosselin, Jon Gosselin“I feel like it’s been taken from us, from me and the kids.” Kate Gosselin was talking about “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” the TV series that ended this week after five seasons due to the disagreements between Jon and Kate. The hour mixed direct-to-camera, separate interviews with Kate (“The kids are already missing [the show]”) and Jon (“I became more educated about myself… I felt like I was free [after the separation]”).

The last edition followed its now-usual format: separate activities with each parent. Kate took the kids to an organic farm where cows were milked. Jon organized a lemonade stand to raise money for the local fire department. In a repulsive moment that typified why this series had to end, the older kids, twins Mady and Cara, started bickering and complaining as they worked on signs for the lemonade stand. One of them whined, “I like stuff we do with Mommy.” Jon, as though stung by this, immediately snapped, “Alright, you’re gonna go into the house. Both of you… You’re unappreciative.” Only the sextuplets were allowed to go to the firehouse and sell lemonade. The punishment didn’t fit the crime.

At one point, the fireman raised a truck ladder high into the sky and we heard one of those comments that used to make “Jon & Kate” such a pleasure. As the ladder rose, one of the kids chirped to a fireman, “You’re gonna hurt the birds!”

Jon & Kate: Jon Swears "It's Not a Midlife Crisis"

Hours after Kate Gosselin tearfully said she was "shocked" that her estranged husband had begun dating soon after their split, one of Jon Gosselin"s former gal pals is speaking out.
Jon and Kate GosselinEx-Star reporter Kate Major sat down with E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic for a two-night interview this week to reveal how her whirlwind romance with the father of eight took a turn for the worse.

Major called the 32-year-old octodad a "liar" for denying they had a relationship.

"We had plans to travel together, to live together and to be together," the 26-year-old said of the reality show dad, who she was spotted with only twice -- once in Manhattan and once in the Hamptons in July. "He made his decision in the Hamptons. He wanted to be with me."

However, Gosselin was telling a different story last week.

He reportedly said his relationship with the blabbing blonde was strictly platonic, and that he had remained faithful to 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, the daughter of his ex"s plastic surgeon.

Kate 2.0 claims the reality star said he was going to call things off with Glassman to be with her.

As a result, Major resigned from her tabloid reporting job, saying it was a "conflict of interest."

"I was with the person I was reporting on," Major said. "He"s the one who actually told me to quit my job. … He told me he was going to Massachusetts to break up with her. I know the truth. He knows the truth. Unfortunately, she did not."

However, Gosselin and Glassman were recently spotted holding hands in New York in a new video on RadarOnline.com.

When asked if they were still a couple, they said they have always been together.

Major begs to differ.

"In no way did he tell me he was going to go parade with his ex-girlfriend. He tried to two-time both of us. He wasn't honest with Hailey. He needs to man up and tell the truth. I"m not going to be the other woman."

Well, Kate 2.0, technically you"re one of two other women.

Major continued to whine about her short-lived relationship with the octodad, insisting she has proof that they were "romantically involved."

"I was not the only one who was around when we were romantically involved," she said. "We were holed up together. It"s not like we were just sitting there doing an interview."

Major is most likely talking about Lindsay Lohan"s fame-loving father, Michael, who quickly weaseled his way into the reality star"s life when paparazzi followed.

Because Gosselin has denied ever dating Major, she said claims that she lied to get media attention have been hard to handle.

"It"s been a nightmare. I did not want to have to do this," she said. "I did not want to have to sell him out, but when he makes me look like a liar, a fool and an idiot, I have to speak out."

Although Gosselin abruptly canceled his two-part interview with the cable channel yesterday, he did offer some last words about Kate 2.0.

Said Jon: "I'm happy that she"s out of my life."

Michael Lohan Told About Jon Gosselin's A Nice Guy

Not only is Jon Gosselin cavorting with a coterie of different women since separating from his reality TV partner in crime, Kate Gosselin -- he's also courting new guy friends, namely, Michael Lohan.

Wheather in other talk Lindsay Lohan's dad talks about his friendship with the reality TV star. Lohan, the father of tabloid queen Lindsay Lohan, told ABCNews.com today that he has opened up his Hamptons home to Jon Gosselin and Kate Major, the Star magazine reporter with whom Gosselin dined in New York City last weekend. While Gosselin and Major claimed to be just friends earlier this week, Major told Star Wednesday that she "went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him."

"Kate Major is best friends with my fiancee Erin [Muller], and Kate is like family to me," Lohan said. "Since there's so much media bothering them in New York City and Pennsylvania, they needed a place to get away, and I offered them my house."

"He's a really nice guy," Lohan said of Gosselin, adding that the two men went clothes shopping together and ate lunch at the Driver's Seat restaurant in Southampton.

Though they've only known each other for days, their shared experience with high-profile divorce has turned these guys into fast friends.

"We compare notes on what we've gone through and what it's like when the media gets involved," Lohan said.

In the month since he and Kate announced their divorce, Jon Gosselin has transformed from Mr. Mom to man about town so swiftly and so publicly, it's hard to believe the dude with the 22-year-old girlfriend and tight-fitting Ed Hardy t-shirts is the same dad who used to court audience sympathy on "Jon & Kate Plus 8."

Since Gosselin, 32, started dating Hailey Glassman, the daughter of the plastic surgeon who performed a tummy tuck on his ex-wife, the two have been spotted cavorting on a yacht in St. Tropez and kicking their feet up on a swing set in New York City.

The father of eight has also reportedly signed a lease on a new, approximately $5,000-a-month bachelor pad in The Alexandria building on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

Prior to going public with his relationship with Glassman, Gosselin was romantically linked to Deanna Hummel, a 23-year-old third grade teacher.

On June 22, when the Gosselins dropped their divorce bomb, 62 percent of more than 102,000 PopEater.com readers said they sided with Jon Gosselin. Asked who they supported on July 17, 58 percent of more than 54,000 readers who responded said they sided with Kate.
